Next Big Thing Movement, Inc. (NBTM) announces that Cirilo R. Manego III., JD, has been named the new executive director of the nonprofit social movement that stands tall as the leading platform in Arts, Media, Tech, Business, and Culture, that cultivates collaborations, gives a voice to vision, and turns passion into real life. A global environment where everyone is empowered to live a better life. Next Big Thing unites the various creative abilities of individuals of different ethnicities, life aspirations, career achievements, and socioeconomic levels through a global network.
George A. Olokun, Founder and Executive Director of NBTM, has served as the lead for the organization since its inception in 2013. Olokun is genially passing the torch and role of Executive Director to Cirilo R. Manego III., JD, the owner of The Manego Group, a DC-based boutique consulting firm that handles a suite of clients in the entertainment, politics, and government relationship spaces.
Olokun will remain involved as the Founder and Chairman of the Board, as well as lead the organization's Human Campaign, an initiative that focuses on the parallel social responsibility the collective has for humanity around the global. As Olokun’s successor, Manego hopes to expand on NBTM’s existing collaborative community, continue to build a robust portfolio of donors, and spearhead the endeavor of creating unique opportunities for people and businesses operating in media, art, tech, business and culture in order to build mutually beneficial relationships with NBTM.
“All of us at NBTM see an opportunity to have a bigger influence on the millennial population and the communities they inhabit and are thrilled to have Cirilo lead us into this next stage of growth,” George Olokun said. “I’m really excited about this next step for our movement and I can’t wait to see where we can go.”
Manego’s hiring comes as the movement implements a plan of strategic growth in grant programs, development and outreach, building on the successes of a groundbreaking last few years that saw several speaking engagements across the nation with high-profile stakeholders and partners of NBTM.
“I am honored for the opportunity to lead and expand the vision of NBTM. The movement is poised to really refine our vision and build on the tremendous momentum of the past seven years. I look forward to being a part of the effort to bring the movement to the next level, making a positive difference for even more people looking to tackle their dreams,” Manego said.
